My co-worker (errr..friend) had forgotten her lunch, and although I had brought mine/already eaten a part of it, I jumped at the chance for lunch. Lunch dates are the best. We didn't want to walk too far, and since I had never been, we settled on Sam Phao Thai Cuisine.
Walking in I immediately saw the lunch special, dine in only, and got pretty excited. Yes, I ordered a full meal…but I took the majority back to the office for lunch the next day!
MacKenzie (not a coworker…now officially referred to by MacKenzie/friend) and I decided to split the Satay for an app and it was delicious.
All lunch specials are served with a soup and vegetable spring roll. I really enjoyed the spring roll, it was crispy and veggie filled and a good roll. The soup was a nice touch to the meal but nothing too memorable.
Mac and I ordered the Wide Noodled Pad Thai and Minced Kapou Chicken. We both ordered our meals Spicy and they definitely served it spicy. If you are a wimp like some people (cough*Mackenzie) then I would not suggest ordering it spicy if you only want a slight kick to it.
Would I come back? Yes! Great and filling lunch special. The leftovers taste awesome the next day too!
Have you ever been? What's your favorite Thai Dish? I love Pad Se Ew, Pad Thai, Chicken Panang and Basil Fried Rice!
