October 2014 Goals

One of my fav blogs  has been posting monthly goals lately and I thought it would be fun/beneficial to do that too!

1. Go to a pumpkin patch/apple picking/some sort of fall festival.
2. Make a few different apple recipes (other than crisps – I make that all the time because it’s easy and delicious)
     Caramel Bars with Crumb Topping (except add apples! even if it will be messy)
     Apple Cheesecake Bars
     Apple Coffee Cake (can you tell I like crumb things?)
     Apple Butter
3. Learn how to cook and like winter squashes – butternut, spaghetti, etc. 
     Butternut Squash Soup
     Roasted Butternut Squash
4. Work out at least 4x a week. I always end up doing two weeks on one week off – so what I really need to do is work on consistency. 
5. Blog at least twice a week. Since I got a new job about a year ago, it’s become a lot harder to maintain the blog but I think I am getting back on the right track!

  1. awwww thank you for the shoutout!! i love that you're posting them too! and it's great when they're mostly fun and don't seem like hard work, haha. you should totally cook spaghetti squash. you can do it in the microwave and it's SO easy. all you need to do is cook/bake it, then top it with pasta sauce and cheese and voila! easy peasy. tip with blogging more: come up with themed posts you want to stick to...or whenever a blog post idea pops in your head, make a note of it in your phone so you remember. i always come up with genius ideas and then forget them bc i didn't write them down. and if you ever need inspiration, let me know!
