Bristol, Rhode Island: Bristol House of Pizza

After a family event Sunday night we were wandering around Bristol trying to see what was open. Bristol House of Pizza was right by our hotel so we decided to stop in and give it a try.
To start off the meal we ordered some wings (sauce on the side). These were pretty good, your average wings.
We ordered 2 pizzas, one large 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 cheese and one small anchovy pizza. This is where the night sort of goes down hill. The crust, sauce and cheese were all just lackluster. This tasted like frozen pizza, except not as good.
My uncle ordered a calzone with sausage and mushrooms. He thought was ok, but unhappy that the mushrooms were canned. I tried a bite and thought it was a little bit better then the pizza.
The employees were nice but sadly the food was not very good. I LOVE pizza, and will eat about pretty much any kind, particularly if I have been drinking a little (which I had) and I only ate one tiny slice. If you come here, the calzones are definitely a little better then the pizza but not by much, and stay away from the mushrooms as the ones we got were canned.

I've checked out other reviews of this place and they seem to do pretty well so I am not sure if we had an off night or not, but next time I am Bristol I will be going to one of the other cute restaurants around the area.

If you are looking for a good meal in Bristol, check out Quitos, we all really enjoyed it :)
