It's been awhile since I've been here, but life sometimes gets in the way and you have to take a step back. I'm back now and ready to play catch up!
This past Monday I was lucky enough to attend the 135th Easter Egg Roll at the White House.
There were lots of fun activities for kids to do, they were more based towards the younger age group...I would say 8 and under. My 10 year old cousin is getting to that age were he thinks he is to cool to do those activities however had I been allowed to partake in them I would have jumped on board.
They also had performers throughout the day, my specific time slot, The Wanted and Jordan Sparx performed (they also had a Coco something from the Disney channel.... but we left before she went on). I like a couple of songs by both artists, and I actually knew who they were so it was really cool to be able to be super close to them while they performed. Both sounded great live.
They also had fun characters walking around that you could take pictures with. Mom and I were pretty much the only adults taking pictures with the characters. Here we are with a couple of minions from Despicable Me.
It was super packed, and the lines to get in went on forever it seemed but I didn't mind (wish I brought a jacket...but that was my fault). I always love coming to these events, being on the White House lawn, so close to the White House is such a fun, amazing experience.
While this was made for the kids, my mom and I still had a good time .
