First Blogger Meetup

One of the best perks of blogging is getting to know other bloggers. I'll have to admit, I am not always the best at connecting with bloggers, but the lovely Mia sort of forced (in the best possible way) me to be more social and now I am much better & more active. Because of her I now have 8 new blog friends :)

This whole meetup stemmed when Mia and Erica were chatting about meeting up and they decided it would be cool to include other local bloggers. We met up this past weekend at PF Changs for lunch.

I have to admit, I had serious thoughts of bailing, trying to think of a good excuse that wouldn't make me seem like a jerk for committing and then backing out. I don't like new situations but I decided to suck it up and go. I had a great time and met some great ladies. So excited for the next meeting!

Here they are! Stop by and give them some love!! Can't wait until the next meetup :)

First a quick review of the restaurant...I mean I am a food blogger. Everyone seemed to really like their meals. We all split the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Delicious-I don't think I've ever actually had this but they lived up to their reputation (People rave about this app all the time). Their menu was pretty big so I had a tough time deciding what to order so I end up getting Chicken Fried Rice and a side of Shaved Brussel Sprouts. Both basic and safe yet delicious (sorry for the crappy photos, I didn't bring my camera)
The only bad part of this meal was that the service wasn't the best.  A couple of times one of the girls asked for water or more lettuce for the wraps she gave them attitude, which was uncalled for. Other then that, she did a pretty good job waiting on 9 girls.

If you have a chance to meet up with some bloggers in your area, do it. Although it sort of felt like the first day of school where you don't really know anyone, that quickly melts away.

Also...day late, but the winner of the Lean Cuisine Coupon Giveaway is Jessica!! I will be contacting you later for your address:)

  4. Yep, I met a few local food bloggers for the first time last summer and it was fun. Glad you overcame your fears and went and it looks like you are too!

BTW, the crappy service doesn't surprise me. I almost expect it at chain restaurants. Next time, if you decide upon another chain, make it fun by taking bets on how long it takes to get a food server's attention.
