Annandale: Food Corner Kabob House

The other day I was hungry and didn't have anything to eat at my house. Rather then going to the grocery store, I decided to try a restaurant near where I lived. I settled on one of the few places that is not Asian (huge Korean population in Annandale) called Food Corner Kabob House.

I decided to get a combo meal of Chicken and Beef which comes with rice, bread, 2 sides and a small salad $11.95
I thought that the chicken was delicious. It was well seasoned, the texture was great and overall a winning choice. However I thought the beef, while seasoned well, was not good texture wise-kind of chewy.
For sides I chose the chickpeas and spinach. Both were ok, I thought the spinach could have used a little more seasoning.
They serve a green sauce (pictured in the 1st photo) with your meal and for 75 cents extra you can get a white sauce (yogurt sauce). Both are delicious-I recommend springing for the white sauce too, it's a big serving so you can share.
The rice and bread were both basic but delicious. The salad was fine, just your greens with what tasted like an Italian dressing.
Moby Dick's is the big kabob place around this area, what people compare all the others to. The chicken is equal between the two places. Beef is better at Moby Dicks. Price wise you get more for your money here-the portions are huge! I like that this place serves veggies with your meal.

Overall I would definitely come back to this place if I felt like eating out around my area. The chicken, sauces, rice and bread were all delicious. While I wasn't super thrilled with the veggies they have a big selection so I can try new others until I can find what I like.
