Medi, Mediterranean Grill & Pitaria

All of these Chipotle-esque like places are popping up everywhere and I love it. There is just something about being able to customize your own dish to your liking instead of having to ask some restaurant to hold the *insert disliked item here*. My most recent adventure was to Medi in Shirlington.
The guy working behind the counter was very patient and informative, answered all my questions with a smile and offered his own suggestions in as well. The concept is the same as Chipotle, you pick your base, protein and toppings.

I got the Medi-Riso lemon and mint infused rice as my base and it was really good. However I didn't really eat it because the rest of my bowl was so full of other goodies I was stuffed by the time I got down to the rice. I was able to try the chicken and the lamb +.95- both were really good.
They also have sauces to put on top. Both were good, but the green one was great.
Because Rosie and I like to keep it classy. Only 6 bucks and you get at least 3 servings out of this.
I really liked this place, it's a great addition for casual dining to the Shirlington area. I am glad this place wasn't around when I lived right by here because it would have become a normal rotation in my diet.
