Banana Bread Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chip Muffins

I have a confession to make. I am a waster. I often buy produce and just can't eat it all before it goes bad or I end up forgeting about it. It's not something that I am proud of, and I am really trying to fix it.
I have been buying bananas like crazy recently. I have just retaken up running and have been getting charlie horses. It's been suggested that I eat bananas for their potassium hence the reason for the surplus in bananas.
It's really hard for me to eat bananas and I often end up with a pile of lovely brown ones.
Finally I decided to do something about it and I made these fun muffins. Eventually I will make them healthier by putting better ingredients in them. If you are not concerned with being super healthy then these are awesome! The chocolate and peanut butter chips really give it an extra oomph. 

The family loved these..even those who don't like banana bread 

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chip Banana Bread Muffins
(woo quite a mouth full)
adapted from: all recipes
2 Cups Flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup softened butter
3/4 brown sugar
2 beaten eggs
~4 mashed ripe bananas
1 cup chips of your choice (i did 1/2 chocolate 1/2 peanut butter)

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees and line a cupcake tin with cupcake wrappers or spray with cooking spray. 
2. In a big bowl combine all of the dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon). 
3. In a separate bowl cream together sugar and butter. Add in bananas, eggs and chips. 
4. Stir wet mixture into the dry mixture until just mixed together. Pour into pans.
5. Bake for about 30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean from the center of the muffins.
6. Let cool in pan for about 10-15 min and then take out and put on wire cooling rack for about 30 minutes.
