I went to HAVABITE Eatery, a quaint little Greek and Italian restaurant in the heart of Fairfax City for lunch the other day with my friend G.
He ordered the Gyro Sandwich on Pita Bread $6.75. This was good, but the meat was a little dryer than he would have preferred.
I ordered a Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich on Pita Bread $6.75. I enjoyed my sandwich, the portion was huge. My complaints were that it was really hard to eat and the lack of Tsatziki -- but I didn't want to pay extra for some more (only .65, but every cent counts).
We split a side of Fries $1.95. Pretty standard...good enough for me to keep on eating when I was full and more than enough to share with another person.
Overall the portions were very hefty, worth the price we paid for the meal. I did not think it was the most authentic gyro or souvlaki I have had but definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area for lunch. It is a small restaurant so if you go during peak lunch hours you may have to wait or carry out.
